Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In a small village called Kashagai in Kazastan, the Catholic Church supports a series of shelter-homes for children whose face challenges too difficult to manage. The Church provides these children with shelter, food, clothing, vocational training, companionship, and love on behalf of their family members in the hopes they can resume care. What started out as one building housing 20 children in 2001 has become 10 buildings today, where children and young people, including university students, receive housing and counseling. The second collection for Central and Eastern Europe is a special opportunity for giving. Through the support of this collection, you will help the shelter home in Kashagai and others like it. You will help facilitate training for seminarians and lay leaders, and provide religious education where for generations the practice of the faith was not allowed. Now through the Spirit of love, the faith is coming alive again. We can give to the future by helping the Church to grow today. Please be generous in your offering and know you are truly appreciated for the support of the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, where great need remains.
