Were you raised in another faith tradition and would now like to become Catholic?
Were you baptized Catholic and would now like to receive your First Eucharist and Confirmation?
Are your Catholic and returning to the church?
God may be calling you to the RCIA program. The RCiA is a process to fully initiate adults into the Catholic Faith. Please come and exprore how the Catholic faith may enhance your relationship with God.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or RCIA, is the process by which non-baptized persons and baptized Christians become Catholics.
It is a process of self-discovery and examination (what we call "discernment") which the person explores the meaning of God in their own lives and how to further that experience. Because it is a process, it takes time and is not something that is to be rushed.
During the RCIA, attendees are expected to attend Sunday Mass with the community and to participate in all parish events. Participants are also expected to attend the evening weeknight sessions.
When the process is complete, we will celebrate or complete the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
RCIA meets from September through May on every Monday evening, from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. During the months of June, July and August we meet the last Tuesday of the month from 6:30pm until 7:30pm.
The RCIA team consists of Jackie LaVoie, Sharon Holley, Tina Kostrzeski, Rudy Forster, & Davy Stix, Jr. If you are interested in becoming Catholic please contact the office to leave a message for Jackie LaVoie at 575-4011..
